Jamal-Moinul duo champions 7th Worthing Bangladeshi Badminton Tournament

Worthing Bangladeshi Badminton Club recently organised its Badminton tournament successfully for the 7th time. Jamal-moinul duo became the champion of the day long tournament. Emu-Monon duo became the runners-up.   32 teams took part in the tournament form all over the UK.

The prize giving ceremony was held on 29 March in Worthing Leisure Centre in Sussex. Club President Abdullah Mukul presided over the prize giving ceremony and sports organiser Bokhtiar Khan conducted it.

Managing Director of sponsor of the tournament Sami Foods Rafiqul Islam, Club’s General Secretary Shahed Jaman, Treasurer Syed Shamim Ahmed, Vice-President Jakaria Ahmed, Azad Ali, Millad Hossain Chowdhury, Nurlul Islam, Sahel Ahmed, Saqib Ahmed, Safwan Shikdar, Aksar Shikdar, Aziz Shikdar, Selim Ahmed and others handed over the prize money, champion and runners-up trophy.

In a brief speech, the organisers mentioned that sports help people to keep away from all types unsocial activities. Where there are more sports, there are more good works.

Club President Abdullah Mukul expressed his gratitude to all the teams who took part in the tournament.

Tournament sponsor Sami Frozen Food’s MD Rafiqul Islam said that he is very pleased to be the part of this tournament. He also mentioned that he will be happy to co-operate in future.
