RAHETID starts its journey in Dhaka

18Royal Ascetical Hospital Education Training Institute Dhaka has started its journey in Bangladesh.  Rt Hon Desmond Swayne, the UK’s Minister for International Development inaugurated this hospital formally on 23rd August in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Ministers, political leaders and activist from both the UK and Bangladesh were present at the event. Among other guests who were present at the inaugural ceremony included State Minister for Finance and Planning M A Mannan MP, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Gibson, Industrialist Dr Ragib Ali, former Member of Bangladesh parliament Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury and Chairman of Jagannathpur Upozilla Parishad Akmol Hossain and others.
CEO of RAHETID Dr Raqibul Anwar and Directors S T Francis and Councillor of Startford Ward,  Atiqul Haque provided information on the activites and facilities of this newly established hospital.
Cllr Atiqul Haque mentioned that this hospital will run and maintain in accordance with the standard of British Royal Hospital.  There will be provision for training to increase the efficiency of doctors as well as, this hospital will run a four years course for medical students.
The students will then take a two years training course in the UK.
Atiqul Haqu also mentioned that Ministers from Bangladesh and the UK has expressed their deep delight on establishing RAHETID in Bangladesh.  They all are very hopeful about the future of this hospital.
