Bangabandhu book fair launched

The third Bangabandhu book fair was formally launched by Asaduzzaman Noor MP, Minister for Cultural Affairs on Sunday, 11 Oct at Oxford House, East London. Following a two day event the fair moves to Forest House, Clements Road, IG1 until 10 November. There will be a quiz show on 25 Oct and a seminar titled ‘MDG success & SDG promise: a dream sown by Bangabandhu’ on 8 Nov. At the launch others who addressed the event were renowned columnist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury, High Commissioner Md Abdul Hannan, Prof Lawrence Watson,
Barrister Tania Amir, Sultan Shariff and Prashanto Bushon Barua amongst others. The opening was chaired by Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury and conducted by Bulbul Hassan.
The fair focusing solely on publications related to Bangabandhu is its third year organised by Bangabandhu Centre, European College of Law and the Centre for Bangladesh Studies.
