Girl dies as wall collapses on her in Moulvibazar

A school girl died as a wall collapsed on her in Moulvibazar’s Sultanpur on Sunday.

The victim was Bithi Akhtar, 12, daughter of Badsha Mia, a resident of Purba Sultanpur area. She was a sixth grader at Moulvibazar Ali Amjad Government High School.

It was known that for a long time Badshah Mia has been living in a rented house with his family in the house of one Saira Begum in that area. On Sunday afternoon, a wall of an under-construction building of ‘Syed Ashraf Ali Housing’ next to their house collapsed on the girl while she was walking near the wall. She died on the spot.

Moulvibazar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) KM Nazrul Islam confirmed it.
