To ensure justice for the BDR massacre, an investigation committee will be formed within the next five working days, said Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Tuesday.
The committee would comprise retired judges, police officials and members of the armed forces, with a majority representation from the Armed Forces.
The number of members could be five, seven or nine. Most of the members would be from the armed forces department.
The adviser said these during a special briefing on BDR mutiny at the secretariat this morning.
“The interim government is determined to re-investigate the BDR killings and ensure justice.”
Jahangir Alam added that the format—whether it will be a committee or a commission—would be decided based on discussions after its formation.
