Metro rail sets new record of 4 lakh passengers in a day

Metro Rail has set a new record by transporting over 4,00,000 passengers in a single day.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the operator of the Metro Rail, shared the information through their verified Facebook page on Friday night.

Metro Rail transported 403,164 passengers for the first time. The Metro Rail family extended heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all its employees, esteemed passengers, supporters, and stakeholders for achieving this milestone, reads the post.

Recently, DMTCL Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf revealed that their target is to transport 500,000 passengers daily.

Currently, the Metro Rail’s MRT Line-6 is operating in both directions between Uttara and Motijheel.
