NCP leader’s hanging body recovered from hostel at Zigatala

Police in early Thursday recovered the hanging body of a student named Jannat Ara Rumi from a female hostel near Zigatala kancha bazar under Hazaribagh Police Station.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.

Confirming the recovery news, Hazaribagh Police Station OC Saiful Islam informed media that the deceased, 30, was involved in NCP’s political activities.

Police primarily suspect that Rumi might have committed suicide as she was under family pressure.
