Popular actress and filmmaker Moushumi has returned to directing after a gap of nearly a decade with her new film “Bichchhed Bedona”.
The movie recently received a no-objection certificate from the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), clearing the way for its release.
According to sources, Moushumi directed the psychological drama during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film stars actors Ferdous Ahmed and Abdun Noor Shajal in lead roles. Senior journalist Abdur Rahman produced the project under the banner of Priyojon Kothachitra. Preparations are now underway for the film’s release.
Moushumi is currently residing in the United States. Speaking about the project, her husband, actor Omar Sunny, said that work on the film had begun several years ago. He recalled learning more about the project after seeing producer Abdur Rahman’s name attached to it.
“After speaking with Moushumi, I came to know that most of the filming had already been completed at that time. Later, the remaining work was finished and the film was submitted to the censor board. It is an exceptional film directed by Moushumi,” he said.
Moushumi’s previous directorial venture, Shunno Hridoy, was released in 2016. With Bichhed Bedona, she marks her return to filmmaking after ten years.
