Somoy TV Managing Director Ahmed Zobayer sent to jail

A court has sent former Managing Director of Somoy TV Ahmed Zobayer to jail in a case filed over allegations of fraud and breach of trust.

The order was issued on Thursday (18 June) after the accused allegedly failed to comply with a court summons in a case related to breach of trust and bank fraud.

According to court sources, the action was taken after Zobayer did not appear before the court despite being summoned in connection with the case.
