Engineer M Sayed Ali, district Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami and a candidate for Moulvibazar-2 (Kulaura) parliamentary seat, has said that the upcoming national election will be one that reflects the hopes and expectations of the people.
He emphasized the need for unity to build the nation and warned against conspirators working to divide the country.
During a public gathering held on Sunday evening at ward no. 7 of Bhatera union under Kulaura upazila, Sayed Ali made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest.
The event was part of his ongoing campaign activities ahead of the upcoming national election.
In his speech, he said, “A few conspirators are working to divide the country, but it is our responsibility to build it. Together, we will move forward and fulfill the people’s expectations through the next election.”
The meeting was presided over by ward Jamaat President Shawkat Hossain and conducted by Secretary Abdus Samad.
Special guests included Kulaura upazila Jamaat Naeb-e-Ameer and mayoral candidate Zakir Hossain, former district Islami Chhatra Shibir president Md. Nizam Uddin, Bhatera union Jamaat President Abdul Karim, Secretary Abdul Latif, Organizing Secretary Misbahur Rahman and former upazila Chhatra Shibir secretary Abu Bokor Mohammad Sipon.
Earlier the same day, Sayed Ali also held a separate discussion with acting chairman of Bhatera Union Parishad and local ward members to exchange views and discuss upcoming election plans.
