Mechanic dies in Sylhet

52A mechanic was killed after falling from Aapon Tower at Sagardighirpar area in the city when he was fixing an Air Conditioner (AC) at the building on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Tisul Das, 26, son of Patal Das of Bhatalia area in the city.

Local sources said Tisul Das slipped from the seventh floor of the tower when he was installing the AC around 1:00pm.

Later, he was rushed to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
