One held with 8 gold bar at Sylhet airport

Customs officials arrested an employee of the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh along with 8 gold bar at MAG Osmani International Airport here on Thursday afternoon.

The arrestee was identified as Mosabber Ali, an LRA of the CAAB.

Airport sources said customs officials arrested Mosabber after detecting his suspicious movement in the CCTV footage after a Biman Bangladesh Airlines landed at the airport around 4:45pm.

Later, eight gold bars were recovered after searching his body, said the sources.
