Veteran singer-composer Kabir Suman was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata recently with shortness of breath, fever and a sore throat.
The 72-year-old celebrity was hospitalized on Sunday night, his close friend Monisha Dasgupta confirmed through a social media post.
Kolkata’s Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital’s head of medicine department Dr Soumitra Ghosh said, “He (Kabir Suman) was admitted to the hospital late at night with fever, sore throat and shortness of breath. His oxygen level was 90 at the time of admission, so he was put on oxygen supply and other medicine.”
Kabir Suman was tested for Covid-19, but the report came out negative, the doctor said.
