Bangladeshi Italian Family Welfare Association observes Independence Day in London

32Deputy Mayor of Tower Hamlets has urged to retain the culture and custom of Bangladeshi in the UK in an united way. He was addressing the Italian Bangladeshi expats in a discussion meeting to observe Independence Day of Bangladesh. The event was organised by Bangladeshi Italian Welfare Family Welfare Association, Tower Hamlets. The Deputy Mayor also said that people who are coming from Italy need to learn and embrace English and council will provide all types of help that will be needed.

The event was presided over by Zakir Hossain Jahangir and Ali Reza Khan Reza presented it. The speakers included organisation’s Senior Vice-President Abul Hossain Jashim, Chief Executive of NTV Europe Sabrina Hossain, Vice-President Foysal Alam, General Secretary Mir Hafijur Rahman Babu, Abdul Hannan and others.

The speakers said that they have come to the UK so that their children can embrace Bangladeshi heritage and custom and equip them with Islamic values. They also said that as Bangladeshi, it is important to know the history of independence of Bangladesh. They also emphasised that the parents should play the main role in order to educate their children.

The 41 member’s executive and 13 member’s advisory committee were introduced to the audience. There was a cultural performance followed by a raffle draw at the event.
