4 BCL men killed after car falls into ditch in Sylhet

Four activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were killed after their private car fell into a roadside ditch being hit by a truck in Sylhet’s Jaintiapur upazila early Saturday.

The deceased were Tomal, 25, son of Arosh Miah; Nehal, 26, son of Randeep Pal; Jubayer Ahsan, 26, son of Jamal Uddin; and Suom Ahmed, 25, son of Harun-or-Rashid. All of them were the residents of Jaintiapur and active member of the upazila unit.

The accident happened at about 1am on the Sylhet-Jaflong highway.

The microbus fell into the roadside ditch after being hit by a truck in Jaintapur Police Station area, leaving the four BCL men injured.

They were first taken to Upazila Health Complex. Later, shifted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.
